The event is free, and the public is invited. The parade will begin at 1 p.m. on Broadway and West 4th Street near the Town and Country Diner. The parade will then march down Broadway to Front Street, continue onto Broad Street and finish on American Legion Drive.

Held since 1879, this parade honoring Ireland's patron saint is presented by the Irish American Association of Northwest New Jersey, the Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick, and the Trustees of the Saint Patrick's Day Parade. Originally held in Wharton, the parade and attendance at the parade grew too large for the town by 1890, which saw the largest ensemble of marchers and biggest crowd of spectators in its history. Since 1891 it has been held in Morristown.
Saturday, March 1st, 2008 . 1 P.M.more>>> The parade route will run from the Fairgrounds Plaza down High Street to the township parking lot on Washington avenue. It is being run by the Tommy McGuire Division (Burlington County) of the AOH. You can contact Jim Logue Parade Director for more information at 609-230-9555 Jim Logue jim@bcnjaoh.com It will take place in Mount Holly New Jersey and is Sponsored by the Burlington County Ancient Order of Hibernians. The part route will run the length of High Street and end on Washington Avenue. There will be a post parade party at 2 PM at Dad's Bar and Grill at Madison Avenue and Route 38 in Mount Holly.

Newton is the county seat for Sussex County. The parade route is Spring Street to Memory Park. The parade should last an hour. A prepared concelebrated Mass is scheduled to be held at St. Joseph's Church, Newton NJ, at 8 a.m.; followed by a Traditional Irish Breakfast in the St. Joseph's School Gymnasium.
