Irish Famine Monument Memorial Fund (1845 – 1852)

The Friendly Sons of Saint Patrick of Hudson County have started a project to erect an Irish Famine (1845 – 1852) monument.  The monument will honor those who died in the famine, as well as those who survived, emigrated to the United States and helped to build this country.

Assistance from any individual or organization desiring to help make this monument a reality is welcomed.  The timetable for completion is the year 2010.  The intention is for the monument to be placed either in Liberty State Park or in downtown Jersey City, overlooking the Hudson River.

Thank You, Robert Cavanaugh Sr.
